the out & about project
Supporting parents of young children with complex needs who struggle to get out as a family, for both the benefit of themselves and their children.
Who is it for?
‘The Out & About Project’ is for families with a child under the age of five, who has complex needs.
What people say
“We have three children. Our eldest is non-verbal, has severe and complex learning disabilities, ASD and ADHD. We have always struggled to find appropriate settings and activities to go to as a family. We are hoping to build a community that can support and share each others experiences.”
What's it about?
‘The Out & About Project’ is all about supporting parents with a young child who has complex needs. It is very easy to find yourself isolated, which can have an impact on not just yourself, but the whole family. Could you benefit from meeting other parents in similar circumstances to yourself? Would you like to get out more and have fun with other children and families?
If you feel this is something you could benefit from we would love to hear from you. Our Outreach Worker can visit you and talk to you about what support you would like, and what we can offer.
