'Sleep Better Course' information for professionals
A 5 week course for parents who are finding bedtime and sleep a problem for their child and their family, that can be provided at your facility.
Who is it for?
If you feel your school/venue could benefit from support being offered to groups of parents, to understand why their child may not be settling and getting a good nights sleep, ‘Koala North West’ could provide this course at your facility.
What do the experts say?
Lack of sleep can cause a number of issues including poor behaviour, lack of concentration, and affect social, emotional and physical development.
What's it about?
Here at ‘Koala North West’ we believe that working in partnership with parents and carers, is the best way to make positive and lasting changes to a child’s sleep pattern.
We work with parents and carers who have a child between the ages of one and eleven years old, including those who have complex needs, ASD or ADHD. We have a maximum of ten parents per course, and the course will last no longer than two hours per week for five weeks.
The course gives the opportunity for peer support, as well as guidance from our trained and accredited sleep practitioners, on how best to promote a good nights sleep for children.
The ‘sleep intervention’ works using a behavioural approach, shown to improve not only behaviour, but also physical, mental and emotional development.
