Family Support

As we know, there is no rulebook when it comes to parenting. Raising children can be both rewarding and challenging, and every family’s journey is unique. At times, parents and caregivers may need additional guidance, reassurance, or practical help to navigate everyday situations and overcome difficulties.

We provide home-visiting family support for families with children aged up to 11 years in Wirral and up to 16 years in Cheshire. Our service is designed to empower families, build confidence, and promote positive relationships within the home. We recognise that no two families are the same, which is why support is flexible and tailored to meet individual needs and circumstances.

Our support can include emotional guidance, helping parents feel heard and understood during difficult times. We also offer practical support on establishing routines, setting appropriate boundaries, and implementing effective, consistent approaches to behaviour. In addition, we can provide hands-on support with day-to-day challenges, helping families develop the skills and strategies they need to thrive.

A key part of our service is our team of trained family support volunteers. These dedicated volunteers work alongside families on a weekly basis, offering encouragement, guidance, and a listening ear. They build trusting relationships and provide consistent support, walking alongside families as they work towards their goals.

Our overall aim is to strengthen family resilience, improve wellbeing, and help create a stable and supportive home environment where children can grow and flourish. By working in partnership with families, we help them to recognise their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve lasting positive change.
